Play Bhabhi online with friends
Bhabhi — also called Bhabhi Thulla, Get Away or Bhabi — is the card game every Indian family argues about. Open a private table here, send the room code on WhatsApp, and play it together from any phone or laptop. Free, no sign-up, nothing to download.
How to play Bhabhi
The goal is simple: get rid of all your cards. Players who empty their hands are safe. The last player still holding cards is the Bhabhi — and has to live with it until the next round.
- Deal everything. The whole 52-card deck is shared out, so some players may have one card more than others.
- The A♠ starts. Whoever holds the Ace of Spades leads it to begin the first trick.
- Follow suit. Going round the table, everyone must play a card of the suit that was led if they have one.
- Everyone followed? The trick is thrown away. The player who played the highest card throws it on the discard pile and leads the next trick.
- Can't follow? Thulla! Play any card from another suit. The trick stops right there, and whoever played the highest card of the led suit must pick up every card in the trick and lead next.
- Run out of cards and you're safe. Play continues among the players who still have cards, until only one is left — the Bhabhi.
The opening trick is special: nobody can give a thulla on the A♠ trick. If you have no spade on that first trick, just play any card — everything goes to the discard pile and the highest spade leads.
How Bhabhi works on deckofcardgames
- Create a room, pick Bhabhi, and share the code or invite link. Up to 8 people can join.
- Cards you can't legally play are dimmed, so nobody follows suit wrongly by accident.
- When everyone follows suit, the trick waits on the table until its winner taps Throw away — just like at a real table.
- A thulla flashes across the table and the cards fly to whoever has to pick them up.
- The scoreboard keeps count of how many times each player has been the Bhabhi across rounds.

Bhabhi strategy tips
- Short suits are weapons. Once you run out of a suit, every trick in that suit is a chance to give a thulla.
- Get rid of high cards early while tricks are still being thrown away — a high card is what makes you pick up a thulla later.
- Watch who is void. If someone has already thulla'd hearts, leading hearts is risky for whoever is holding the highest heart.
- Lead your lowest card in a suit others still have, so you're unlikely to be the one picking up.
Bhabhi FAQ
Is Bhabhi the same as Get Away or Bhabhi Thulla?
Yes. It's the same game with different names across India and abroad — Bhabhi, Bhabi, Bhabhi Thulla, Thulla and Get Away. Some families add small house rules, but the follow-suit-or-thulla core is the same.
How many players do you need?
At least 3, and up to 8 in one room. It's most chaotic — and most fun — with 5 or more.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It's completely free and there's no account. Type a name, create a room, and share the code. There's no betting or real money involved.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes — it runs in the browser on Android, iPhone, tablets and computers. Nothing to install.
